DAY 3 - ALWAYS BE CAREFUL NEAR DRIVEWAYS Bikewell Bear and Pedals the Bunny remembered the two important lessons on safety they have learned. Do you remember the two lessons we have learned about riding your trike safely? (Announce: “1. Always wear your helmet” and “2. Never ride in the street.” Very good!) “Today, I have another lesson I want to teach you,” said Mrs. Huggins. “Always be careful near driveways. The driver in the car may not be able to see you, and you could get really hurt!” Bikewell and Pedals like to ride their tricycles really fast. But they always make sure to slow down and to be careful near driveways. If a car is backing out, or pulling into the driveway, it is best to make sure you stop and let the car drive by. Then, you can ride safely and have so much fun! 18
